This will be the third preseason game for Dallas, as they have split the first two going 1-1 thus far. Arizona came out on top last week over Green Bay in their preseason opener, blanking the Green Bay Packers.

The Cardinals came away with a 17-0 victory over Green Bay, and while the preseason results don’t count, it was still surprising and impressive that Arizona was able to keep the Packers off of the scoreboard for the entire game, limiting Green Bay to just 223 yards of total offense.

It wasn’t exactly an offensive explosion for the Cardinals on the other side though, as they managed just 17 points. Newly acquired quarterback Carson Palmer looked pretty good, completing 4 of 6 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. Palmer will see a bit more action in this second preseason game, going up against another formidable defense in Dallas.

The Cowboys dropped to the Oakland Raiders 19-17 last Friday night. It was the first appearance for Tony Romo, who missed the Hall of Fame game. Romo was only in for two series against Oakland, looking good on the second of the two.

Romo will start this one against Arizona, and might play for a few more series than he was in for the Oakland game.
