The Cardinals might be one of the bigger surprises in the NFL this season, as they sit tied for second place with a 6-4 record in the NFC West. The Cardinals have also played very well at home that has helped them balance out a 2-3 road record. This week’s game is very important as they sit in a three way tied for the final wild card spot.

Despite riding a three game winning streak this might be a difficult game for them as their pass defense ranks 20th in the league and they will be going against a very good Andrew Luck. This will not only be a big win in the standings but a confidence builder as well with only one two wins against teams with a winning record. Those wins both came at home against the Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers.

Carson Palmer will look to get over his struggles against the Colts, after losing his only three games he has played against them. In three games Palmer has thrown for 803 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions. The main difference now is Luck is under center and not Peyton Manning.

For the Colts it is all about starting fast and putting points on the board early in the game. In their last three games they have been outscored 35-0 in the first quarter but have found ways to win late in two of the three games.

Bruce Arians will also be facing a Colts team he filled in for last season as interim head coach when Chuck Pagano was out. Arians would go on to win coach of the year and lead the Colts to a playoff appearance. So if anyone knows what it takes to beat the Colts and Luck it should be Arians.
