The Broncos and Seahawks are picked high on Super Bowl 48 betting odds in the preseason, both set as top-five favorites.
And why not?
Both teams looked really good last season and are good enough on both sides of the ball to make a run. Though the two couldn’t have more different quarterbacks. For Denver, it’s veteran Peyton Manning, who has rewritten the book on the ultimate quarterback. Manning led Denver to the No.1 AFC playoff seed in year one with the team. For Seattle, it’s rising second-year quarterback Russell Wilson, who wasn’t even predicted to start, let alone make the Pro Bowl. But expectations for year-two are very high for both with their new teams.
It’s likely that we will see both Manning and Wilson on the field for a few series in this matchup.
Denver played the other NFC West favorite San Francisco in a lackluster offensive performance in a 10-6 win over the 49ers. Meanwhile Seattle looked great in a 31-10 route of San Diego.
This one should be one of the more compelling preseason matchups we see all season, with the hype surrounding both of these teams very high.
