It’s a 10pm ET kickoff on Friday night with the Chicago Bears visiting the Oakland Raiders in a Week 3 preseason contest. The NFL Network will have the coverage of this game.
Beginning with Oakland, quarterback Matt Flynn looks to cement his position as the starter. It still looks as if the job is Flynn’s to lose, but he didn’t have a great game against the New Orleans Saints last week.

Flynn was sacked five times by the Saints, which certainly is on the offensive line some, but the quarterback did himself no favors by being unable to scramble out of the pressure.
Against a tough Bears defense, Raiders fans will get to see how Flynn progresses and what he learns from the beating he took at the hands of a defense that ranked dead last in the NFL last season.
Chicago looked pretty good against San Diego. The biggest note to make out of that game was running back Matt Forte’s 8-carry 74 yard performance complete with a touchdown. Forte looks like he could have a very big 2013 season and help lead Chicago to a potential NFC North title. That NFC North is shaping up to be one of the most difficult divisions in the NFL.
It’s clear that quarterback Jay Cutler’s favorite target is Brandon Marshall, and rightfully so. To help spread the secondary though, Chicago will need another receiver to emerge from the pack to alleviate some of the coverages coming Marshall’s way.
There is still plenty to work on for both teams in this matchup, so it should be an interesting one to watch.
