Both the Browns and Colts are coming off of wins last week in the preseason. Cleveland took care of Detroit 24-6, while Indianapolis knocked off the Giants 20-12.
With this being the third game in the preseason, the starters for both the Browns and Colts can expect to see plenty of time on the field. This means a lot of Andrew Luck, Reggie Wayne, Trent Richardson, and more.
Beginning with Luck, he has been looking very good in this preseason. The second-year quarterback completed nine of 13 passes last week for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Though to be fair, one of the touchdowns was drastically underthrown and should have been an interception or at the very least an incompletion had it not been for the freak play that ended up in the hands of a diving Wayne. But that’s neither here nor there. Outside of that, Luck continues to excel and should have Indianapolis in great position this season.
Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden had himself a nice week as well in Week 2. Like Luck, Weeden also threw for a pair of touchdowns, as he completed eight of 12 passes on the night for 117 yards.
Richardson carried the ball five times for 33 yards. We can expect to see Weeden throw it a little more in this game, as well as Richardson getting a few more carries. Don’t expect more than 10 or 12 carries for Richardson at max though, as the team doesn’t want to push it.
