SF 49ers / Seattle Seahawks

The 49ers played in one of the biggest games in Week 1, defeating the Green Bay Packers 34-28 in what was a fantastic game. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick proved that he is no one-hit wonder, throwing for more than 400 yards to go along with three touchdown passes.

Newly acquired receiver Anquan Boldin had more than 200 yards receiving to go along with a touchdown. It was a very big win for the 49ers against a team that might just have the best quarterback in the NFL in Aaron Rodgers.

Seattle went on the road and played a tough Carolina team that was ready for the challenge. The Seahawks managed only two field goals and a touchdown on the day, but it was enough for a 12-7 win thanks to a stout defensive effort that held Cam Newton in check.

We can expect a similar defensive effort by the Seahawks in this one, against a quarterback who is very similar to Newton. In fact, playing Newton in Week 1 might have better prepared this defense for Week 2 better than the week of practice that they will be undertaking this week.

NFL fans get a real treat early on, with two of the top-five favorites to win the Super Bowl getting ready to fight for the division.
