Luck and the Colts were on the verge of dropping a tough one to the Oakland Raiders in their opener, but were able to overcome and come away with a 21-17 win. It was actually Luck’s legs that ended up being the difference, and not his arm. Down by a field goal in the fourth quarter, he was able to scramble for a 19-yard touchdown with less than six minutes remaining.
Indianapolis continues an opening homestand, while Miami keeps it on the road for a second-straight week.
The Dolphin went into Cleveland and walked out with a 23-10 win to get their season off on the right foot.
Tannehill threw for 279 yards and a touchdown. Brian Hartline led Miami with nine receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown, as he was a problem for the Browns secondary all afternoon.
This is a big game for Miami. The Dolphins are trying to take that next step forward to competing for the division with New England. Getting a win over a playoff team from last season would certainly be a way to get this off to a good start.
But to do this, Miami will need to find a way to run the ball, as they amassed just 20 yards against Cleveland. The Colts defense is pretty solid, and if they continue to make the Dolphins one dimensional that will put Tannehill in a tight spot.
