Clemson obviously had the big win over Georgia that took place in Week 1 of the season, and followed that up with an easy win over South Carolina State. But both of those games were played at home. The Tigers will go on the road for the first time as they open up their ACC slate of the schedule in their first conference showdown.

N.C. State isn’t an easy place to play, just as Florida State last season when they came in as a top-five team.

The Wolfpack might not have that much bite to them this season though, as they struggled at home against Richmond two weeks ago. N.C. State won 23-21, but it was certainly a game that should not have been that close.

The Clemson offense is on a whole other level than that of Richmond’s. Tigers’ quarterback Tajh Boyd had the week off to study up on the N.C. State defense, as he and receiver Sammy Watkins will look to get their first conference win under their belt.

While the Tigers defense isn’t a stout unit, it’s hard to think that the Wolfpack will be able to keep up with the scoring that Clemson is sure to do. This offense can’t be stopped, though it could potentially be contained. N.C. State will have to play the game of their year to pull off the upset in this one.
