Both teams have split their first two games of the season and sit at 1-1 heading into Week 3. Dallas dropped to Kansas City on Sunday, while St. Louis lost on the road to Atlanta.
St. Louis simply got down too much too early to Atlanta, but did mount an impressive comeback. After trailing 21-0 in the second quarter, the Rams brought it to 24-17, before ultimately losing 31-24. Quarterback Sam Bradford threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns, but the St. Louis defense couldn’t get the stop it needed to give the offense a chance to tie or take the lead late in the game.
There were some nice performances from the Rams wide receivers like Chris Givens with 105 yards and Tavon Austin with six receptions for 47 yards and two touchdowns.
The Dallas secondary will have their hands full against the St. Louis receiving corps, as that will be a matchup that is fun to watch.
Of course, the Rams will have to worry about Tony Romo as well. Romo has plenty of weapons on offense, but the turnovers hurt the Cowboys against Kansas City. Protecting the ball will be very important, and if Dallas hangs on to it they will have a great chance to win this one.
