Houston Texans / Baltimore Ravens

Houston has looked good en route to a 2-0 start to the season, while Baltimore rebounded from a tough Week 1 loss to Denver to get a division win over Cleveland last Sunday. But if the defending champions want to avoid a 1-2 start to the season, they will need to get a tough win at home against a team with high expectations.

The Texans are among the best offenses in football through two weeks. Houston ranks 9th in the league in passing, and third in rushing. They did need overtime to beat Tennessee last Sunday, winning 30-24.

Texans quarterback Matt Schaub might have to find other targets to throw to outside of Andre Johnson though, who might be unavailable or limited due to the concussion he suffered last week against Tennessee.

The emergence of rookie wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has given Schaub another weapon to throw to down the field though, and he could be key this week against Baltimore.

The Ravens didn’t look very good offensively last week, but the defense rebounded after giving up more than 40 points to Denver. Baltimore surrendered just six points on the day to the Browns.

This is an important game for the Ravens. It’s at home, against a team that many perceive to be a Super Bowl contender. This is another measuring stick for the defending champions and how they stack up against the AFC’s best.
