The Seahawks have looked really good so far this season en route to a 3-0 start to the year. The latest was a dominating performance over the Jacksonville Jaguars at home. While that really shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise that they won, they did even cover the large 20-point spread that was installed by oddsmakers with the 45-17 victory.
Even the week before, Seattle crushed San Francisco 29-3, asserting their dominance in the NFC West.
Needless to say, things are going well so far for the Seahawks. But in their Week 1 opener they looked a little vulnerable on the road. We know that this team is great at home, but when they go out on the road it can be kind of a different story.
That makes this game against the Texans very interesting.
For one, Houston looks great on defense, ranking second against the pass and 9th in the league against the run. But then on offense they are very balanced, ranking 9th in the NFL in both rushing and passing.
That will make it tough for the Seattle defense to try and make the Texans one dimensional, because they can be comfortable running or passing.
Of course the Houston defense will have their hands full as well, with Marshawn Lynch and the power run game of the Seahawks, combined with the play action passing from Russell Wilson.
