The Broncos bring a perfect 4-0 record to town, and have looked like arguably the best team in the NFL so far. In fact, trying to stop Manning and the Denver might be the most difficult task of all. There are simply too many weapons to focus on, that Manning has been able to pick apart defenses each week.
If the Cowboys defense is committed to limiting the pass, then a trio of young Denver running backs will be happy to take the load. If Dallas wants to try and get after Manning by rushing six and seven guys, then quick passes to Demaryius Thomas and Wes Welker might be the the play. There are some big options, which makes it difficult to see the Cowboys getting the win.
The solace in this matchup for Dallas might be the fact that the NFC East division is so bad this season. A team under .5000 might actually win it. This game is still important though, and if the Cowboys are to win it, it will take mistake-free football. That starts with Romo, who can’t afford to throw an interception or lay the ball on the ground.
Perhaps the best defense in this one is a good and productive offense. The Cowboys can keep Manning off the field by sustaining drives. If Denver wins the time of possession, this one will go the way of the Broncos.
