This is the first time since 1987 that the Giants have started a season 0-5, with the latest loss coming at home against the Philadelphia Eagles 36-21. It’s been a combination of factors that have contributed to the bad start this season. Offensively New York is committing too many turnovers and shooting themselves in the foot. But then on defense they aren’t helping put the offense in good positions either by giving up too many big plays and first downs to sustain drives.

Chicago meanwhile will try to rebound from a home loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 5. The 26-18 loss puts the Bears at 3-2 on the season now, but it was a loss against arguably the best team in football right now. So what that means is that the Bears still have a little ways to go if they are to compete for the NFC. With that being said, they get the chance to win another one at home and continue the woes of the Giants.

This seems like a bad matchup for New York, with that Chicago defense prone forcing turnovers and even routinely scoring on defense. Some teams just have a knack for getting to the ball and the Bears are one of them.

If the Giants continue the theme of turnovers, they won’t have much of a chance in this one. If New York falls to 0-6, this season can pretty much be put in the bag.
