Oklahoma St. / Texas Tech

Texas Tech is coming off of its first loss on the season, dropping to Oklahoma on the road last week. But at 7-1 and 4-1 in the Big 12, they are still very much alive with all of their goals in front of them. It’s a tough stretch on the schedule for the Red Raiders, who get their second ranked opponent in a row.

It’s clear that Texas Tech will try to pass the ball on Oklahoma State. The Red Raiders rank 3rd in the country in passing output, with 413 yards per game. They need it because they do not put up much on the ground.

Statistically Oklahoma State is pretty good against the pass, but this will no doubt be their toughest challenge yet.

The Cowboys are coming off of a nice 58-27 win over Iowa State this past week. Both Texas Tech and Oklahoma State are very similar to each other statistically, with the exception being in the passing offense. The Cowboys are bit more balanced which could bode well for them. If Oklahoma State Runs for their season average of 166 yards, they will have a very good chance to win the football game.

The key will be limiting that Red Raiders passing attack in any way that they can. They do not need 400 yards through the air thrown on them or it will turn into a shootout fast which would favor Texas Tech.
