This is a huge game for both teams, as they have national title aspirations. For Georgia, they came so close to playing in the championship game against Notre Dame a season ago, and would like nothing better than to go into Clemson and jumpstart their 2013 campaign with a big win.

The same can be said for Clemson, who has enjoyed plenty of success the last several seasons, but have lacked the big victories to really vault them into a serious title contender. It’s been late-season slip ups that have doomed the Tigers.

This matchup comes right out of the gate though, and the crowd on Saturday night in Death Valley will certainly be ready for the Bulldogs out of the mighty SEC.

While this game has no bearing on the conference races, Georgia can’t afford to play poorly early in the season. Immediately following the game against the Tigers, the Bulldogs will face another top-10 team from South Carolina in the Gamecocks. Georgia has arguably the most difficult opening two-game stretch of any team in the country.

Both offenses return a ton of experience, highlighted by the quarterbacks in Aaron Murray for Georgia, and Tajh Boyd of Clemson. It’s a contrasting style of offense though, as the Bulldogs will rely on heavy support of running the football, while the Tigers like to pass.

This one has the makings to be a high-scoring affair, but those can often surprise us.
